Earthwise Recycling is a family owned business serving the Pender county areas. The idea for Earthwise recycling was born of necessity. Owners Davis and Jessica Canady were frustrated to learn there was no curbside recycling service available in their area. Longtime Pender residents themselves, the Canady's felt that surely others shared in their frustration. After doing some research they realized this was a service that was desperately needed in the Pender county area! And so they decided to provide the service themselves.

A unique part of the services we offer is compostable organic pickup. For no additional fee Earthwise recycling provides our customers with an airtight 5 gal. container for all their non-meat kitchen waste. This container can be set at the curb along with all other recyclables. Earthwise will pick up the container and replace it with a clean one. We then compost the material ourselves.
